September summary

“…Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…” Hebrews 12:1-2 Dear friends and fellow laborers, This month has really flown by! We were in three meetings in September: two for “missions month”, and one regular Sunday night presentation. I say “missions month” because many churches in this area, instead of missions conference, have a missionary in each Sunday through a month, then take the new faith promise pledges the following month. The first meeting was in St. Albans, WV, then we headed up to Lockport, NY, then back down to Dresden, OH. Our New York trip was unexpectedly extended because of paperwork we needed to get done for DMV, and we ended up staying almost a week longer than intended. This allowed us to help our home church with a blessing project. A church in Michigan donated pews for our new building, so 20 men went to load them up in a tractor-trailer whose driver also donated the shipping service. This saved our church almost $100,000 off the cost of the building expansion. We thank the Lord we were delayed and able to take part in this great blessing! The next seven Sundays are packed with meetings in West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, and New York. Please pray for us as we travel all these miles, and that the Lord will continue to use us to minister to his people.
